DESCRIPTION

The project consists of the extension and refurbishment of the Elderly Active Participation Anica Torres Centre in the municipality of Benalmádena, Málaga.

Initially, the building had a ground floor distribution, developed at Plaza de la Mezquita level and a semi-basement floor at Calle del Pilar level.

The building proposed intervention consists of the creation of a new floor and the incorporation of new spaces for the elderly (computer room, games room, gym, workshops, cafeteria, etc.).

The incorporation of a courtyard as the backbone of the spaces, as well as the improvement of natural lighting and ventilation, the updating of the building’s installations, are the premises for creating a more contemporary, comfortable and spacious building integrated into the fabric urban town.
