Ephemeral architecture – 2014

Description

The project for the room is a spatial experiment. The concept of space is an argument that has been studied since antiquity, and the definition that matters most is that in which the perception of space is understood only when it is occupied by a presence or object.

In our case, the element that occupies the space is a wooden structure that is assembled in the middle of the room. A new spatial organization of the room is created in this way where the limits of the volume are defined by the black color applied to different faces of the structure, in this way, the viewers have a clearer perception of the form and volume, which in this case it does not pretend to be defined by plans or materials, but by a wireframe.

It is intended to create a space in movement. Here the surrounding space of the room is integrated with the space that forms the exposed structure, nothing ends in itself, everything is continuity of the rest, for that reason, the black lines that delimit the volume continue on the floor, go up the perimeter walls of the room, visually annul the limits of the structure. New perspectives and an emotional space scenario are created.
